Harmon Kardon Citation II Amp161 viewsMassive.. I purchased this amp and matching preamp from an audio buddy. Unit had several issues but does play. Issues included lots of noise. After opening it up, I discovered a few issues, fuses in the OPT cathodes, one of which was open, wrongs sized OPT cathodes resistors, wrong size and type of capacitor on the driver tube screen and a few other things. Ordered the Jim McShane power supply kit as well as the two capacitor kits.

Fuses in the Cit II output tube cathode94 viewsSomeone installed these fuses in the Cit II output tubes cathodes, probably as a safety measure for the OPT. The problem is that of the four fuses, two measured 1.5 ohms resistance, one measured 4 ohms and one measured 8 ohms. Also found that the cathode resistors all were 7.5 ohms. Kinda all messed up. Anyhow, ordered Jim McShane's kits and replacement resistors. Will remove the fuses.
