Look closely at the jacks and you will notice a bit of a lip at their base. Because of this lip, one must rim out the hole slightly on the flat cover in order to fit.

DIY TT Shelf40 viewsFirst, I built the base that mounts to the wall out of a couple pieces of 3/4 inch plywood and two pieces of 2x4. Second, used some 2x2 hardwood for the back posts. I mounted the shelving brackets before leveling and mounting the 2x2's to the base support. Note the neat cable raceway, now I can keep the interconnects and speaker cables away from high voltage.
